Joe is co-chair of McCarter’s Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies practice. He represents start-ups and publicly held technology, life science, consumer companies, venture capital funds, private equity funds, and investment banks in various seed and venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and other public offerings. He regularly advises and has led hundreds of ventures and strategic financing transactions for various start-ups, venture-backed companies, and venture capital funds. Joe has helped companies and private equity firms handle dozens of mergers, acquisition, and disposition transactions. And he has represented companies and underwriters in scores of IPOs and follow-on public offerings, including leading investment banks such as Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and Oppenheimer. Joe also serves as outside general counsel for numerous companies, assisting them with business and international strategic alliance transactions, such as distribution partnerships and joint ventures.
